While the AliExtractor App is designed to update automatically, whenever our development team provides a new version, there can be local factors (such as security settings and firewalls) that may prevent your app from automatically updating. Periodically it is a good idea to 'double check' to see if the version of AliExtractor you are running, is the most recent and updated software provided to our members. Please check the release notes section first in the help portal to see if your version matches the latest update.
1. In the top right of your Chrome application click the three dots scroll down to “More Tools” and click on “Extensions”
2. Locate the AliExtractor extension.
3. Check the release notes and match them against the latest version. If they do not match, click the “Developer Mode” to move it to the ON setting.
4. Verify the versions are different, then click the “Update” link and wait up to 1 minute before seeing if the version has been successfully updated.
5.If the version does not update, you might consider closing and re-opening your Chrome browser and repeating the steps above.
Finally, if for some reason you are unable to get your Chrome version updated, and there is a difference between the release notes version, meaning the version on your computer is a lower number or out-of-date compared to the latest released version which is a higher release number, then please contact support via support ticket or live chat and our support team will help assist you in getting your product version updated.
